Club History
Thank you for your interest in The Farms Golf Club!
In 1999, when the members assumed ownership of the Pete, Perry, and Alice Dye golf course and the magnificent clubhouse designed by Robert Altevers in 1988, they made a commitment to maintain the course and clubhouse in pristine condition. One of the first initiatives was to improve the playability and quality of the golf course. In 2000, after conducting a nationwide search for an architect, The Farms golf course underwent major renovation under the guidance of architect John Fought and his associate, PGA tour professional Tom Lehman. In addition to rebuilding a total of twenty-one greens, three of which are for practice, the club added a state-of-the-art irrigation system, created an outstanding practice facility and driving range, moved and rebuilt many tee boxes, added several water features, recontoured a number of fairways and landscaped nearly thirty-five acres with beautiful plantings. The end result is a golf course that remains challenging, but is fair to golfers of all abilities.
Because the Farms is “exclusively golf,” there are no pools or tennis courts. The club attracts members with a love and commitment to the game. A youthful membership, the club’s average age is 56 with an average golfing index of 12.
There has never been a better time to consider membership at The Farms. The attached materials will provide you with some basic information about the club and the membership programs that are currently available.
Once again, thanks for your interest.
Sincerely, Bruce Bennetts General Manager
